An aspiring
Greetings! I'm Eugene, a third-year Computer Science undergraduate at the National University of Singapore. As an aspiring software engineer, I'm fueled by my genuine passion for crafting user-centric products. With a strong belief in the importance of user experience, my goal is to deliver exceptional digital experiences. I'm determined to leverage technology and design to create a positive impact on others.
During my internship, I developed a full stack project management system to automate report generation. This involved creating a hi-fidelity mobile app prototype using Figma and implementing it with Flutter. Additionally, I contributed to the web admin dashboard, designing custom web pages for better information access with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Finally, I built APIs using PHP Laravel to connect the web pages and mobile app to our MySQL database.
I mentored and provided technical expertise to 11 teams of Year 1 undergraduates throughout a 3-month software engineering project. My main areas of guidance were Unity and essential software engineering principles, including version control and software design. As a recognition of my efforts, I was awarded with the Best Advisor award.

From my personal volunteering experience with Work Live Digital, a ground-up movement that provides free computer classes for senior adults, I recognized a gap - participants lacked a structured way to practice what they learned outside of class. Thus, Computer, Easy Lah! is an initiative that provides an interactive learning platform for senior adults to recap and practice the content taught in computer classes. It is built for Work Live Digital, and is supported by project study partners such as Family Central and Chua Chu Kang IT Centre.
